Water Pumps & Pressure Tanks
Water pumps are used to move water from one point
to another, and can be submersible or external.
In order to ensure that water is available at
sufficient pressure at all times, small pressure
tanks are utilized, usually mounted adjacent to
the pump, so that the pump (which senses changes
in the pressure of the system caused by the flow
of water) does not have to turn itself on and
off every time someone opens a tap.
In addition to ensuring constant, predictable
pressure in your plumbing system, the use of this
two-part system reduces the wear and tear on the
pump considerably, and reduces both energy consumption
and noise.
